Our College had organised Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) sponsored three day Continuing Education Program from 06th - 08th Febrauary, 2019. VVIPS is one among six colleges from Andhra Pradesh selected by PCI to conduct the program. The theme of the program was "Refinement of Teaching Methodologies for Effective Outcome". 30 teachers from various pharmacy institutions of A.P and Telangana region  participated in this program. The motto behind organizing CEP is to train the teachers about digital learning methodologies and advancements in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The inauguration ceremony commenced with lighting of lamp by Chief Guest Dr. M. Radha Krishna Murthy, Central Council Member, PCI, New Delhi. The program was presided by Dr. A. Lakshmana Rao, Convener of program and Principal, V. V. Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He addressed the gathering by emphasizing the primary objective of this conference. Chief Guest Dr. M. Radha Krishna Murthy advised the faculty delegates to updated their knowledge and should share quality education to students and make them responsible pharmacists in the society. Later the souvenir containing scientific abstracts was released by chief guest. On the first day the resource persons Dr. S. Satyanarayana, Former Principal, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Visakhapatnam, Dr. K.V. Ramana Murthy, Professor, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Visakhapatnam, Dr. B. China Raju, Principal Scientist, Indian Institute of Chemicall Technolgy, Hyderabad, Dr. A. Lakshmana Rao, Principal VVIPS, Gudlavalleru have enlightened the participants with latest advancements in pharmacy field. 

The second day of the program covered 5 plenary lectures about the technical knowledge of newly included topics in PCI prescribed syllabus. The resource persons are Dr. Y.Rajendra Prasad, Professor, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Visakhapatnam, Dr. Kathiresan, Associate Professor, Annamalai University, Tamilnadu, Dr. P. Giridhar, Principal Scientist, Central Food Technology Research Institute, Mysur, Dr. B. Sailaja, Professor, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupathi, Dr. M.M. Annapurna, Professor, Gitam University, Visakhapatnam. The third day continued with three lectures by Dr. K.P.R. Chowdary, Former Principal, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Dr. N. Shankaraiah, Associate Professor, NIPER, Hyderabad, with main emphasis on teaching methodologies and scientific paper writing.

 The three day program concluded with a valedictory session where Dr. K.P.R. Chowdary highlightened the importance of research in uplifting the teaching profession and program was curtained down by presenting the certificates to the participants.
